Hello, my dear friends!
Now, the EM is in full swing, yesterday it took me quite a lot of nerve watching this game Italy against Spain and now Italy must take on Germany on Saturday! For me, a balancing act, because I really appreciate both teams and my heart is for Germany, but of course also with my homeland Italy!
2006, was the last time, Junior wasn’t quite 1-year-old, I can still so clearly remember this World Cup, where Italy and Germany were in the semifinals. I didn’t dare to show some joy a little because I was also sad for the fact that Germany has to quit. A mix of emotions, even if my husband encouraged me because he was happy for Italy, too!
Oh dear, and now on Saturday the same procedure! May the best win, which is now my motto!
Well, of course, I have a fine snack for such great football evenings and of course in my national colours! I have mozzarella sticks for you, a simple recipe without much work!
These I once made for lunch for Junior when he came home from school and he was simply amazed! Few ingredients, a lot of flavours, so it should be!
And here is the recipe!
Caprese sticks - skewers -
- 10 wooden skewers, long
- 30 grape tomatoes
- 30 little mozzarella balls
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 basil leaves
- Salt pepper
- Wash the tomatoes.
- Drain the mozzarella balls.
- Now start with one tomato and alternates with mozzarella balls. On a skewer each 3 tomatoes and 3 balls in exchange.
- Then in a bowl whisk the oil and the basil, salt and pepper to a marinade and drizzle over the skewers.
